Thor definitely had an “Accio Mjolnir!” moment there.

I fully support this.  Sophie is awesome on Game of Thrones, and I think she would make a fantastic Gemma.

Happy Star Wars Day!

I’ve been meaning to post this for a week, but here it is now.  Things I thought while watching Team StarKid’s latest show:

-Put Dylan Saunders on Broadway. Now.
-Joe Walker has fantastic comic timing and throws himself into every character.
-Commissioner Gordon: “When I wrote Huckleberry Finn”
-Julia looks really pretty as the reporter Vicki
-Chris Allen’s Alfred accent was great.
-Also Chris and Joe still look so much alike, even with Chris’ hair painted grey. (Remember when people thought Joe played Duder in Little White Lie?)
-The entire cast is awesome. They all just mesh so well.
-It’s actually kind of awesome to see the heroes just chatting and bro-ing out (like Superman and the Green Lantern)
-I wish we got to hear Jaime Lyn singing a little bit more. But in the lines we do get, of course her voice is top notch.
-Love the villains’ dance number! And all their puns.
-I didn’t care much for February the character in Starship, but Denise is rocking the role of Catwoman.
-Jim Povolo. ‘Nuff said.
-“Get your broke ass out of here Two Face!”
-Who’s this guy playing Sweet Tooth? He’s quite good.
-Nick is Robin! And he’s adorable!
-And he has no pants underneath his underwear.
-“Come at me you April Fools!” - Calendar Man
-During Batman and Robin’s scenes, I halfway expected them to start singing “Me and My Dick (Grayson)”.
-Is Meredith wearing the Specs wig and glasses from Starship in “Robin Sucks”?
-Superman just wants a friend!
-Meredith plays two of Batman’s movie girlfriends.
-I like Candy’s wig and costume.
-The show is so kitschy - just like the comic books it’s based on.
-Alfred’s aliases.
-“Skittle me this” - Sweet Tooth
-Who does Two Face sound like? The voice Chris Allen is putting on sounds really familiar?
-Alfred has to stop Two Face? How’s that gonna work on stage?
-Nicholas’ slow-mo door opening and closing “You guys better get on Twitter.”
-Brian/Superman’s Snoop Dogg impression. “You got a phone call mother—”
-Oh my gosh, Superman flying!
-Batman and Superman look like they’re going to make out.
-Alfred is Spiderman too?
-Super Friends dance number!
-And credits. Sweet Tooth was Jeff Blim. He and fellow newcomer Nico Ager did great!
-On a rewatch, Brian is Clark Kent in the opening number.
-Also: “Should we be doing these illegal activities in a children’s hospital for orphans?”

Overall, I loved it.  And OMG I cannot wait for Apocalyptour!  They’ll be singing some HMB songs too I hear.

Yes, she’s done some awful things, but I can’t just hate her. There’s a fierceness in her. She most definitely fits her family sigil well. She’s a mama lion who would do anything for her cubs. She’s hard headed and proud, but she’s not stupid. She knows that she could be torn down at any moment, and she’s scared. Yes, she’s done some awful things, but she’s human. She’s a mother. She’s possibly going to lose everything, and she’s just struggling to hold on. She’s stuck in a world where men have all the power and she can only do so much herself. So of course she lashes out. Wouldn’t you if you thought your world was falling apart and felt like no one was doing anything to help you? She’s such a grey area character. And I kind of love her now.
